I am new to dancing, how do I get started?
Group dance classes and Private dance lessons are the two main ways of learning how to dance. Please check out our dance programs & pricing for more information.

Do I need a partner to learn how to dance?
No, Latin and Ballroom dancing lessons can be taken with a partner or individually. Sometimes the instructor may be able to help you find a partner.

I have two left feet and absouutely no dance experience, can you really teach me how to dance?
Definitely yes! Leon developed step-by-step teaching methods specifially suited for beginners with zero dance experience as well as teaching methods for the more advanced dancers. Your lessons will be catered to your level and goals.

How many lessons do I need to be able to dance?
This depends on your goals and ability. The best way to learn Latin and Ballroom dancing is through taking private dance lessons or group dance classes consistently and then practicing what you have learned on the days you do not have lessons. It is recommended that you take at least 1-2 lessons per week. As well as, 30 min - 1 hour of practice time in between the lessons to ensure progress.

What should I wear to my lesson?
Wear clothes that are comfortable and allow for body movement and flexibility.
Lady's shoes - In the beginning stages you can wear sneakers or comfortable heels. Later on you may want to invest in proper Latin and Ballroom dance shoes.
Man's Shoes - In the beginning stages you can wear sneakers or comfortable dress shoes. Later on you may want to invest in proper Latin and Ballroom dance shoes.

Do you teach social or competitive dancing?
Both social and competitive Latin, Ballroom and Salsa lessons are offered. Social dance instruction focuses mainly on preparing you for social outings with emphasize on step patterns and lead and follow principles. Where as the emphasize in competitive dancing is on technique, musicality, presentation and much more.

What does Pro/Am mean?
Pro/Am is short for Professional/Amateur dance competition category. This is where a student dances in competitions with his/her professional instructor. Perfect for single students who want to compete but do not have a partner.
